My wife's daily routine

cancer free - how my wife cured stage III lung cancer- daily routine

sleep - after studying other survivors and getting advice from Japanese cancer mentors, she decided that a regular sleep pattern was essential. We sleep before 9:30 pm every day of the week and she gets up before 6:00. Supposedly, our immune system's "golden time" is from 10pm to about 2 am. So getting to bed before 10pm allows our immune system to do it's best.

waking up - She often wakes up much earlier than 6am naturally and will decide to rest and do image training before getting up. So she put's on her headphones and listens to a Japanese version of Carl Simonton's image training. We also made a customized version of the Simonton audio by recording her own message over relaxing music. The Simonton program is very useful and we recommend it to anyone with cancer.

getting up- when she actually gets up, she steps outside for some deep breathing and thinks about everything she is thankful for. Next, drinks some mineral water and goes out for a 40 minute "Kikou" walking session.

Kiko or Kikou walking is a walking, breathing and energy circulation exercise, originally from China but often practiced in Japan. It's similar to meditating while walking. A 40 minute walk is followed by a 20 minute rest, lying down. If anyone wants details, leave a comment and I will try to find some links. I've also attended some kiko walking training in Kyoto and find it amazing.
There are many types of Kiko, but this one is specific for treating cancer. It's called Kakulin Shin Kiko. I'm not sure on the spelling, as I'm trying to spell out Japanese in English.

pre breakfast- Takes some Japanese traditional medicine, called Kampo. One of them is a blend of powdered roots and herbs, the other is powdered Ginseng. Then takes her Maitake MD fraction, produced in the Kobe Pharmaceutical University under Professor Hiroaki Nanba.

breakfast- I make a breakfast of organic brown rice with lots of other grains (Ok, all the food we buy is organic so I won't keep writing it before every ingredient), miso soup (onion, mushrooms-maitake,shiitake, enoki, tofu cut into 1cm cubes, green onion, wakame (a type of sea weed), kombu stock (a dried seaweed powder)), and salad (thin cut cabbage, daikon, mizuna, cucumber, tomato, ground sesame) with flax oil and a home made vinegar-based dressing.

post breakfast- takes her supplements e-clinic & Thomson laboratories - cNCR multivitamin, e-clinic Proboimin (a probiotic supplement), e-clinic vitamin C.
Then I give her a calf and foot lymph massage. Pushing lymph up from the lower legs and feet to get it circulating well. A common problem with the circulation of lymph and lymph based immune cells, is the settling to the lower legs. Multiple lymph massages every day plus body movement help to keep immune cells and lymph circulating well.

Then is time for her carrot juice. In a slow, screw-type juicer I juice about 1.3 kilograms of organic Japanese carrots. We get a 10 kilo box delivered automatically delivered every week.
She really likes the Max Gerson ideas on diet. Tons of fresh juices and vegetables.
But many cancer patients find the Gerson diet is tough to follow and actually a source of stress when trying to follow religiously. She likes the Japanese version adapted by Dr. Hoshino- so called Hoshino-Gerson - which allows for some soybased foods as well as seaweed and possibly a little fish. A realistic diet full of foods with living enzymes and vitamins. Let me know if you want details of this diet.

I go to work- she does her cancer treatment things all day long while I'm at work. I took one year off work when she first got lung cancer, so I could support her and do all the energy intensive tasks involved with alternative treatments.

Here are a few of her daytime treatments:

  • -hot foot baths- We want to keep her temperature around 36-36.5 degrees. Cancer grows very well in a cold body and immune cells function poorly. At 36.5 cancer has a hard time living and immune cells are much more active. A simple and important treatment. Stay warm!!!
She wears three layers of socks and leg warmers year round. Staying warm is a basic rule followed by many Japanese survivors.

  • - cognac ship- "Ship" is a type of hot pad applied to specific areas of the body including liver and kidney. Cognac (spoken konyyak) is a type of firm gelly made from a kind of potato. It is a food and comes in a rectangular brick shape. It has the ability to absorb toxins and also hold heat well. So we boil it in water for ten minutes and then wrap it in hand towels and apply it to her skin, over various organs.

This is one type of Oh-Te-Ah-Te (again, the spelling is just a guess). Oh-te-ah-te is a traditional Japanese way of healing. There are many techniques and types of oh-te-ah-te. You can learn from books, videos, or from masters who teach you "hands on". That's how we learned.
There is deep wisdom in these healing techniques and holistic in its approach.
It is worth investigating for people interested in naturally healing their bodies. Family can be actively involved in this, which makes it more powerful.

Many mentors say "cancer is a family disease". A family member getting cancer is a reflection of the family as a whole. And as a family can come together and fix it's deep problems, often the cause of the cancer will also be fixed. So healing can be long lasting.

  • Biwa onkyu- "Onkyu" is heating the body with a source like electric "heat guns" or hot ceramic handles (charcoal burns slowly inside to keep the ceramic hot). "Biwa" is a type of tree Eriobotrya japonica (Thunb.) - Loquat. The large green leaves and the fruits contain vitamin B17 or amygdalin and other great ingredients. The leaf is applied "shiny side" to the skin and the heat source is applied on top. It heats your body and allows the biwa goodness to soak into your skin. If the tree doesn't grow in your country, you can get biwa extract and use it with heat guns. This method is much more convenient than picking leaves from your neighbourhood trees (which is what we do). We use the electric heat guns because we prefer no smoke in the house. The traditional "onkyu" ceramic heaters give off some smoke. Mail me or post a comment if you are interested in onkyu.

  • praying and appreciating - She prays and thanks a lot. Appreciating life and everything we have been given is a big improvement over being angry and stubborn and impatient- which is how we were before.

  • stretching, hot baths, full body lymph masssage- she does these things daily. Find out from your doctor or from massage experts where your core lymph nodes and bundles are.

  • Nail poking- Japanese immune specialists have found important immune stimulating points at our finger tips. If you poke them, a positive immune response can occur. She noticed an improvement in her blood tests after practicing nail poking. You can use a mechanical pencil or just squeeze with your thumb and index finger. The points are just to the right and left corners of your cuticle, near the back of your nails. So you poke the flesh just next to the back corners of your nail. I guess a photo or drawing might help. Post a response if you want me to add an illustration.

  • Cancer survivors meetings- The groups she likes the most are the e-clinic group meetings and the Kawatake group meetings. Both groups are extremely positive and not a place where people come to do "poor me, poor you". They exchange information on what kinds of treatments they are doing and how they are planning on surviving. Survivors help with thier own stories of healing and introduce members to other networks of healing mentors and masters. Most of them do food treatment, mental healing, Japanese traditional healing "oh-te-ah-te", biwa onkyu, kiko and other techniques. Basically, taking full responsibility for their own healing. There are also occasionally English speaking members.

  • Reading impressive books and books by cancer healing mentors- She got a lot of ideas and inspiration from reading survivors' books and books by alternative healers. But she avoided technical books about cancer death statistics, and the typical "beautiful" death stories and TV shows of cancer patients who die. It is important to keep our unconsious mind believing in our true healing ability. We should not subscribe to the cancer=death mentality of most doctors. We have seen first hand so many people who have been tossed away by their doctors, who then go home and fully heal their so-called "terminal" cancer. They had to figure out their true reasons for getting cancer and fix them themselves. No one else can!

  • Taking a rest!!!!! Common traits of cancer patients are -hard working, very responsible and patient. These type of people are usually thinking "I have to do___, and ____ and...." They take responsibility for everything and take care of every one else, except themselves. It is hard to break the lifestyle habits and stop to care for themselves. I wish my wife would take more rests throughout the day and she is starting to do it more, now that one of her "monk" trainers has told her that "taking rests is almost the most important thing she can do to survive".

Ok the list goes on and on, but I have to get to work.
